Montgomery Law online resources provide
a great starting point for your Internet exploration. Find domestic
violence support groups, general
divorce support groups, and North
Carolina Family Law resources. You will also find contact information
for various organizations dealing with a broad array of family
law topics. The Montgomery Law featured resources provide multiple
links from their own websites for a boundless supply of knowledge
and assistance to help you through this troubling time. You can
go directly to Interact of Wake County’s website, a local
agency offering counseling and support to domestic violence victims,
the American Bar Association’s Commission on Domestic Violence
site, providing general information and articles about domestic
violence as well as links to many other domestic violence websites,
and the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence site,
which offers immediate services designed to ensure the safety of
battered women. The local Domestic Violence Crisis Hotline telephone
number and the National Domestic Violence Hotline number are posted
on our domestic violence support page along with contact information
for the ABA Commission on Domestic Violence and the North Carolina
Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The general support groups
and resources section provides links
to websites such as The Women’s Center in Chapel Hill,
the YWCA, and the United Way, which encourages you to dial 211
to get information on various organizations in your area that
can meet your needs. You may also access the Divorce Care website,
where you can enter your zip code and find local divorce groups
in your area. You are encouraged to contact your local church
as well for information on support groups meeting near you. Telephone
numbers and addresses for The Women’s Center in Chapel
Hill, the YWCA, and the United Way are available.
